Responsibilities

Job Title: Senior Consultant/Trainer – Education Strategies

Blocker Education works directly with senior education leaders in the K-12 sector to solve challenging problems, develop long-term strategy, guide change management and support implementation. Project work includes providing strategic direction and technical assistance in support of effective educational systems.

Core Services Include:

  • Training and Staff Development

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Serves as project manager and subject matter expert in K-12 education.

  • Leads organizational analysis consulting projects for school districts and state education agencies.

  • Analyzes and interprets federal and state policies, laws, and regulations related to the public education sector.

  • Reviews and be an expert in business operations for service and efficiency improvements.

  • Develops, executes, and leads new growth strategies.

  • Identifies new sales opportunities and follow-up on sales leads.

  • Independently manages complex projects, staff, and tasks with limited supervision.

  • Develops communication plans with clients.

  • Identifies and elicits requirements from key stakeholders in each engagement.

  • Facilitates client discussions with executive level client leadership.

  • Plans and monitors ongoing project tasks.

  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.

  • Assesses best practices and provide technical assistance to clients.

  • Leads proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions.

  • Prepares other written reports and materials for clients.

  • Manages daily project functions and client interaction.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree required. A graduate degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years’ of relevant work experience. Work experience working in a School District Central Office or State Department of Education is preferred.

  • Demonstrated commitment to K-12 public education.

  • Driven to create systems and continuously improve processes by applying new approaches to work.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; proven track record of producing high-quality results on time.

  • Ability to research, analyze and interpret policy, legal briefs, and regulations.

  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to successfully identify new business opportunities and up-sell to existing customers.

Working Conditions:

  • Remote office. San Antonio, Texas location preferred. National travel depends on client needs.

Compensation for roles at Blocker Education varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
